Supply Chain Manager (Part-Time)

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager will provide part-time, temporary coverage for our supply chain and inventory management operations. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring someone who can hit the ground running, manage multiple external vendors without heavy internal oversight, and keep critical inventory and component timelines on track.

This is a 4-month contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position as the company scales. The ideal candidate brings prior experience managing vendor relationships, coordinating component procurement, and navigating the realities of early-stage commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key manufacturing and supply vendors, including packaging suppliers, contract manufacturers, and raw material suppliers

• Actively manage vendor follow-up, ensuring accuracy of orders, timelines, and deliverables with vendors who may require high-touch management and frequent error correction

• Coordinate with component and packaging suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to contract manufacturing sites

• Escalate issues proactively and resolve discrepancies without requiring significant internal management overhead

Inventory & Production

• Track and manage inventory levels across SKUs, including full-size and sample sizes

• Coordinate critical production batches, including time-sensitive runs

• Manage inbound delivery schedules to third-party logistics (3PL) and contract manufacturing sites, accounting for limited on-site storage capacity

• Monitor and flag inventory risks, including damage/breakage rates in transit, and adjust forecasts accordingly

• Support scenario planning for inventory needs based on account growth and sales forecasts

Supply Chain Operations

• Liaise with contract manufacturers to maintain production schedules and ensure on-time completion

• Coordinate the procurement and delivery of critical raw materials and active compounds requiring special handling

• Support secondary packaging development and coordination for new product lines as needed

• Manage purchase orders end-to-end in NetSuite, including PO creation, status tracking, and receipt confirmation.

• Maintain organized documentation of vendor contacts, order histories, and component specifications to enable a clean handoff at contract end

• Proactively identify and evaluate alternate vendors for packaging and raw materials to mitigate supply chain risk and reduce single-source dependency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the commercial and R&D teams to align supply timing with clinical, launch, and account-level demand

• Provide regular status updates on vendor, inventory, and production timelines to internal stakeholders

• Support transition planning to ensure continuity of supply chain operations throughout the contract period

Qualifications

Required

• 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain coordination, procurement, or operations, preferably in consumer health, skincare, or cosmetics

• Demonstrated experience managing external vendors with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail — ability to track multiple moving parts across vendors, SKUs, and timelines simultaneously

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with limited administrative support

• Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers and 3PL providers

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet, Excel) for tracking orders, timelines, and inventory

Preferred

• Prior experience with physician-dispensed or prestige skincare brands

• Familiarity with packaging suppliers, contract manufacturers, and 3PL providers in the consumer health or skincare space

• Experience supporting a supply chain function through a product launch or commercial scaling phase

• Background that would support a potential full-time transition into a Supply Chain Manager role

Engagement Details

• Contract Duration: 4 months, with potential to extend or convert to full-time

• Hours: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week

• Start Date: Target start within 30 days

• Compensation: $35-$45/hour, commensurate with experience
