Rapalogix Health Awarded Aesthetic Industry Association (AIA) Award for Best New Longevity Skin Health Breakthrough

July 8, 2026

CARLSBAD, CA, July 8, 2026 – Rapalogix Health, a biotechnology company pioneering a new category of longevity-based skin health, announced today that it has received the AIA Industry Award for Best New Longevity Skin Health Breakthrough at the latest Aesthetic Industry Association (AIA) virtual board meeting.

Held on June 26, the meeting centered on the state of Physician-Dispensed Topicals, the third-largest sector in the aesthetics industry. A panel of industry executives examined how the segment is evolving, pointing to shifting professional distribution models, emerging skin-health technologies, and growing momentum behind regenerative and longevity-driven skincare.

“Rapalogix is the rising star here in terms of true science and innovation that they’re bringing to the market,” said Michael Moretti, Executive Director of the Aesthetic Industry Association and CEO of Medical Insight, Inc. “The company is developing serious longevity science with a new approach to improving skin health, repair, and resilience.”

In response, Rahul Mehta, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO of Rapalogix Health, said, “This award means a lot coming from peers, and especially from this organization. I was with SkinMedica for about 20 years, heading up R&D for the brand. We started Rapalogix in January 2024, with a license to technology that was developed initially by Novartis for their systemic immunology program. We sub-licensed this library from Cambrian Bio. These analogs are specifically designed to have the longevity benefits of rapamycin without the side effects. They are TORC1-specific inhibitors, which is very critical for skin, because rapamycin, which suppresses TORC1 and TORC2, can have a significant impact on the skin barrier. The idea was to use the research going on in the space of human longevity and bring that research into skin and dermatology.”

Rapalogix Health's lead molecule, RLX-201, powers Re-Q Longevity Face Serum, the first product from the company's professional skincare brand, Re-Q Health, and is designed to selectively modulate TORC1 activity in skin cells to restore youthful cellular function.

The recognition comes on the heels of Rapalogix's $20 million Series A financing round, co-led by Woodline Partners LP and GordonMD Global Investments LP, which closed in June 2026. That capital has already fueled rapid team expansion across the company's scientific and commercial functions, alongside continued national commercial expansion of Re-Q Health and advancement of Rapalogix's pipeline of prescription therapeutics. The award adds to a string of 2026 industry recognitions for the company as it scales its longevity-based approach to skin health.
